Dallas, TX – A weak cold front moving into northeast Texas will bring slight relief to the region, but most of the state will continue to experience extreme heat throughout the week. Highs in northeast counties will drop slightly to the mid-90s, but elsewhere, temperatures will remain dangerously high, especially in western counties where highs will once again approach 110 degrees.

According to the National Weather Service Fort Worth, the heat will persist into the weekend, with temperatures hovering around 100 degrees in major areas like Dallas/Fort Worth, Waco, and Killeen. The heat index will make it feel even hotter, contributing to elevated fire risks, particularly in areas west of I-35.

The weather service also notes that no significant rain chances are expected this week, further exacerbating the dry conditions. Residents are advised to avoid outdoor activities during peak heat hours, stay hydrated, and take wildfire prevention measures seriously.

As temperatures continue to soar, staying informed and prepared will be key to safely navigating this intense weather pattern.
