According to the National Weather Service, the advisory is in effect from midnight CST (1 a.m. EST) until 7 a.m. CST (8 a.m. EST) on Saturday. A mix of snow and freezing rain could result in up to an inch of snow accumulation, along with a light glaze of ice. Affected areas include Ford and Iroquois counties in Illinois, as well as Benton, Jasper, and Newton counties in Indiana.
