Bradley, IL – Bradley-Bourbonnais District 307 voters approved a $70 million facilities bond referendum on November 5. The measure, funded through $62 million in bonds and an additional $8 million from the district’s operating budget, will finance extensive improvements across the district’s facilities.
According to Superintendent Dr. Matt Vosberg, the funding will support crucial safety and security enhancements, along with the modernization of educational spaces. Plans include the addition of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) labs, updated science classrooms, and expanded cafeteria spaces. The district will also renovate current gym facilities and centralize physical education areas, adding new features like a fieldhouse, pool observation area, and other athletic upgrades.
“This referendum allows us to provide a safer, more robust learning environment,” said Vosberg. “We are committed to creating outstanding educational spaces for our students.”
In the coming weeks, Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School will initiate the planning and scheduling phases for these projects. The upgrades are expected to benefit students and homeowners alike, fostering a strong community investment in the district’s future.
