Arkansas Weather Alert Now: ¼-Mile Dense Fog in Little Rock, AR Until 9 AM — 73° Spring Tease Today

Arkansas drivers are easing through thick fog in Little Rock this morning, where visibility has dropped to a quarter mile in spots. Headlights glow along I-30 and I-40, and the Arkansas River bridges fade into gray haze. If you’re commuting now, expect sudden dips in visibility.

According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, a Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 a.m. for central, eastern, and southern Arkansas. Visibility may fall to one-quarter mile or less at times. Calm winds and saturated air are allowing fog to linger well past sunrise.

Little Rock sits at 48 degrees with mist in the air and humidity at 100 percent. Winds are light from the north. Conditions improve late this morning as sunshine breaks through and temperatures climb to 73 degrees.

Expect patchy fog to clear by mid-morning, followed by a mild and bright afternoon. Tonight turns mostly clear with lows near 48. Saturday delivers a true spring tease, with sunshine and highs near 77 degrees.

Clouds increase Sunday with a slight chance of showers and highs near 64. Rain chances rise Sunday night into Monday, when a 30 percent chance of showers develops and highs reach 61. Early March begins cooler and unsettled before another warming trend builds midweek.

Plan extra travel time early today. Fog can change quickly near low-lying roads and river valleys.
