Flagstaff, AZ – Above average temperatures are set to continue on Friday, accompanied by an increase in showers and thunderstorms across northern Arizona. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Flagstaff has forecasted that Friday will see high temperatures reaching into the low 100s in many areas, with places like Kingman and Bullhead City expected to hit 111°F and 113°F, respectively.

According to the NWS, the heat will be widespread, with Prescott seeing highs around 92°F and Sedona at 98°F. Flagstaff is forecasted to experience a slightly cooler high of 86°F. The chance of showers and thunderstorms is also notable, particularly in regions such as Payson, where there is a 67% likelihood of storms, and Prescott, with a 59% chance.

The weather is expected to remain hot over the weekend. Saturday will bring highs of 90°F in Flagstaff and 86°F in Payson, with similar conditions continuing into Sunday. Northern areas like the Grand Canyon and Kayenta are projected to see highs of 85°F and 94°F, respectively.

Next week will see a gradual decrease in temperatures, with highs in Flagstaff dropping to 83°F by Tuesday and continuing to fall throughout the week. Wednesday and Thursday are expected to be cooler, with highs around 80°F and 78°F
