Peoria, IL – A 3-year-old child was found safe after being inside a stolen vehicle in Peoria Wednesday morning. The suspect remains at large as police continue their search.
Peoria Police responded to a call around 10:49 a.m. from the 2000 block of W. Pioneer Parkway about a stolen Kia Seltos with a child inside. Shortly after, authorities located the child unharmed at a gas station on S. Airport Road. However, the vehicle and suspect remain missing.
The stolen vehicle is described as a maroon/burgundy Kia Seltos with Illinois plate number FP230135. Police shared surveillance photos of the suspect but have not yet identified the individual. According to Peoria Police, anyone with information on the suspect or vehicle’s whereabouts should contact authorities or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
