Warrick County, IN – Indiana State Police credited seat belts and a child safety seat for preventing injuries in a rollover crash Tuesday morning.
Troopers responded around 9:10 a.m. to the crash on State Route 61 near French Road. The driver, traveling south, veered off the roadway, causing the vehicle to roll several times before landing on its roof.
According to the Indiana State Police, both the driver and front passenger wore seat belts, escaping without injury. A 13-month-old child, properly secured in a car seat, was also unharmed.
Police emphasized the crash as a powerful reminder of the life-saving importance of wearing seat belts and using child safety seats.
Authorities did not report any citations or further details about the crash. Drivers are urged to remain vigilant and ensure all passengers are restrained correctly.
The Indiana State Police continue to promote roadway safety, especially during high-traffic holiday periods.
