DUPAGE COUNTY, Ill. – Pet owners in DuPage County have an opportunity to gain vital skills to keep their pets safe during emergencies. DuPage County Animal Services (DCAS) has opened registration for its Pet CPR and First Aid Workshops.
Slated for November 4 and December 9, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the workshops offer instruction on essential first aid techniques to address the most common emergencies pet owners may face. Participants will be trained to identify abnormalities and early warning signs in pets. The course covers crucial pre-vet care and life-saving techniques that can make all the difference in critical situations.
For a registration fee of $100, participants aged 16 and above can secure a spot in the workshop. Early registration is encouraged as the spots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. As an added incentive, attendees can purchase a comprehensive Pet First Aid Kit for only $35.
