Wilmington Man Charged in Serious Three-Vehicle Elmhurst Crash, endangering Child

ELMHURST, IL – A 29-year-old Wilmington man has been charged in connection with a serious three-vehicle traffic crash Tuesday night.

According to Elmhurst Police,  it happened at 7:46 p.m near York Road and Fremont Street and left four individuals, including one child, injured.

Authorities report Scott F. Erickson was driving southbound when he collided with two other vehicles before crashing into a building on the west side of York Rd. Preliminary investigations revealed that drugs and alcohol were major contributing factors to the accident.

Erickson has been charged with Driving Under the Influence, Endangering the Life of a Child, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, Failure to Reduce Speed, Driving Too Fast for Conditions, and Improper Lane Use.
