KANKAKEE, IL – Wright in Kankakee and the Kankakee Public Library are proud to announce a special presentation by author Paul Hendrickson on May 5th at 7 PM. Hendrickson, author of Plagued by Fire: The Dreams and Furies of Frank Lloyd Wright, will offer an illuminating and path-breaking biography of the premier American architect.
This event is free and open to the public, and attendees can expect to gain a fresh, deep, and more human understanding of Wright’s life, mind, and work. Hendrickson’s work is a tribute to Wright’s legacy, which includes the B. Harley Bradley House, Wright’s first fully-executed Prairie style design.
Wright In Kankakee owns and operates the Bradley House as a museum and public arts and education center. The Bradley House is said to have changed the face of American architecture, and this special event will be a chance to hear from a renowned author on the life and work of the man behind the design.
