Aqua Illinois has issued a boil order in effect for parts of Bourbonnais. The boil order was sent out to residents last Saturday.

The Kankakee ECDA is required to provide a concise summary of the nature and extent of these needs. A survey, one for each topic, is available for residents to complete. This information will be used to help establish priorities in the City of Kankakee for the next five years.

Saturday morning the Manteno Chamber Board of Directors, Mayor and Police Department met for an emergency meeting to decide what to do to salvage the festivities. “The consensus was that we would rebuild and continue the fest. When the meeting commenced, we had several volunteers already cleaning the streets and assisting the vendors,” says Manteno Chamber President Sarah Marion.
