GED Orientations Fall 2019
Orientation appointments are now being accepted for Fall 2019 high school equivalency classes offered through Kankakee Community College. Program orientations are required before enrollment. Classes begin in August and October, and there is no cost to the student.

Juvenile Mentoring Program (JUMP) for Court-Involved Youth Receives Support from AmeriCorps
The Kankakee County State’s Attorney’s Office is now recognized as an AmeriCorps Service Site for our region and has been awarded $182,000.00 to support its Juvenile Mentoring Program (JUMP) for at-risk, court-involved youth in Kankakee County.
City of Kankakee Partners with Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra to Bring Laser Show to Fourth of July Festivities
Kankakee’s annual July 4th celebration will have a new look this year as the day’s festivities will be capped off by an exciting laser show to replace the usual fireworks display. The laser show will follow the traditional Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra (KVSO) concert on the campus of Kankakee Community College (KCC). The event will again take place on the campus of Kankakee Community College.
