Orland Park, IL – Three people, including two men from Chicago and a woman from Crete, face charges related to a March murder in Orland Park. Officers responded to reports of gunshots on March 20. Upon arrival, they discovered a Nissan Maxima with bullet holes and a deceased occupant, Mechellea Williams.
After an intensive investigation, Orland Park Police connected Kiraun Williams, Tyshann Boyd, and Alexis Hernandez to the crime. Kiraun Williams was charged with first-degree murder. Boyd faces charges of possessing a stolen vehicle and illegal weapon use. Hernandez, 20, was charged with obstructing justice.
Authorities arrested Hernandez on August 12. The FBI apprehended Williams in Las Vegas on August 15. Boyd was taken into custody in late August. Williams was flown back to Cook County on September 3. All three suspects remain in custody while awaiting trial.
