Virginia: Silver SUV Wanted in Powhatan County Hit-and-Run That Left Truck Overturned, Dog Missing

Powhatan County, VA – Virginia State Police are searching for a silver SUV involved in a hit-and-run on Sunday morning. The crash occurred around 7:20 a.m. on Route 60 near Academy Road.

A 2003 Ford Ranger, preparing to turn into a driveway, was rear-ended by the silver SUV. The collision caused the Ranger to hit a power pole and overturn, striking several trees. The truck’s driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital. A dog inside the Ranger is missing.

According to police, the SUV left the scene and continued westbound on Route 60. Authorities say the suspect vehicle likely has significant front-end damage on the passenger side.
