LAS VEGAS — The return of the biggest wrestling event to Las Vegas positions the city for a short-term tourism surge.

Running from Saturday, April 18, through Sunday, April 19 at Allegiant Stadium, WrestleMania 42 is offering a packed weekend of matches, including Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton. The event is predicted to draw in thousands of visitors to the city, which is desperate to increase tourism numbers this year. According to data from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the city recorded around 3.27 million in January this year. This is a 2.2% decline compared with the same period in 2025.

While ticket sales have been lower than last year, the wrestling event has sold just over 40,000 tickets for night one and 42,000 for night two, signaling a slight surge in visitors. Beyond hotels, businesses along the Strip are also expected to benefit from the influx of fans.

The return of the wrestling event continues to reinforce Las Vegas as the ultimate sports and entertainment city.
