Wisconsin – A brief round of snow is expected Friday before temperatures warm up across the state, leading into a mild, sunny weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, light accumulating snow will move through southern Wisconsin Friday, particularly near the Illinois border. Snowfall totals are expected to be less than half an inch, with temperatures hovering in the mid-30s. Milwaukee and Green Bay will see mostly cloudy conditions with highs in the upper 30s, while La Crosse may reach the low 40s as skies gradually clear.

By Saturday, sunshine returns with highs climbing to the mid-40s across Green Bay and La Crosse. Milwaukee will see a high near 51°F, with light winds shifting from the northwest. Sunday looks even warmer, with widespread sunshine and highs reaching the mid-to-upper 50s.

In addition to the warm-up, Wisconsinites should prepare to set their clocks forward this Sunday, March 10, as daylight saving time begins at 2 a.m.

Looking ahead, the spring-like trend continues into next week, with highs in the mid-50s Monday and Tuesday before a chance of rain arrives Wednesday. Travelers should use caution Friday morning due to potential slick roads but can expect a dry and mild weekend.
