La Crosse, WI – A dense fog advisory remains in effect for La Crosse and surrounding areas until noon Friday, reducing visibility to less than a quarter-mile. The National Weather Service warns drivers to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and watch for icy patches on untreated roads, especially on I-90 and bridges.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will remain above freezing today, minimizing ice formation, but untreated surfaces could still be slick. Rain is expected later in the afternoon, with highs reaching 45 degrees. Motorists should anticipate worsening road conditions during peak travel times as fog transitions to light rain.
