Grand Forks, ND – Dense fog will persist across eastern North Dakota and northwest Minnesota Friday morning, reducing visibility to under a quarter mile in some areas. A dense fog advisory is in effect until noon, creating hazardous travel conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, the fog will gradually lift by midday, but light rain will develop this afternoon, continuing through Saturday morning. Overnight lows will dip to 23°F Friday night before a wintry mix arrives early Saturday, especially near the Devils Lake Basin. Travelers should monitor road conditions and use extra caution on I-29 and U.S. Highway 2 as visibility and traction remain concerns.

Saturday brings highs of 36°F with a chance of rain and snow tapering off by the afternoon. Sunday will see partly sunny skies and cooler temperatures, with highs in the mid-30s. Fog may return Monday as highs drop to the upper 20s.

Stay safe and plan ahead for fog and mixed precipitation throughout the region.
