Buffalo, NY – Snow showers will linger across western New York through the weekend, but a slight warming trend is on the way.

Residents should prepare for scattered snow and gusty winds today through Sunday, with temperatures gradually climbing into the 30s by Saturday. According to the National Weather Service, snow accumulations will remain light, but slippery roads and reduced visibility may create hazardous travel conditions at times.

Friday’s high will reach 21°F, with west winds of 14 to 21 mph, producing wind chills in the low teens. Snow showers are expected, mainly after 4 p.m., with less than an inch of accumulation.

Saturday will bring a noticeable warm-up, as temperatures climb to a high of 30°F. Southwest winds could gust up to 35 mph, so drivers should take caution, especially along exposed roadways like Interstate 90. Snow showers will continue, though accumulations will stay minimal, with less than an inch forecasted.

Sunday’s temperatures will reach a high of 28°F, with lighter winds and only a slight chance of snow. By Monday, breezy conditions will return, with gusts up to 40 mph. Snow showers may increase in coverage Monday night, bringing a 50% chance of precipitation and overnight lows around 25°F.

Stay informed about changing conditions and allow extra travel time if heading out. Keep an eye on weather updates as wind gusts and snow showers could impact weekend plans.
