Cheyenne, WY – Residents of southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle should prepare for snow, strong winds, and travel disruptions.
The US National Weather Service in Cheyenne reports that active weather begins Saturday night with strong winds. A cold front arriving Monday will bring snow west of the Laramie Range. Travel could become hazardous Monday and Tuesday as conditions worsen.
According to the forecast, the front will drop into Colorado Tuesday before moving back north on Wednesday. This could bring widespread snowfall and more travel disruptions. High winds and blowing snow are expected to impact major routes, including I-25.
Temperatures will vary, with highs ranging from the 30s to mid-60s Saturday before dropping into the 20s to 40s. Snowfall will intensify early in the week, particularly in higher elevations.
