Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 39 to 43 degrees today, contributing to melting snow in some regions.
West Michigan drivers along US-131 and US-31 are reporting slick roadways. The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids warned of accumulating snow on grassy areas and bridges. Drivers are urged to reduce speeds and exercise caution in affected areas.
Lake-effect snow is likely through the weekend, especially in western Michigan, with occasional breaks in precipitation. Friday’s forecast includes a 50% chance of snow showers, while Saturday and Sunday should remain mostly cloudy.
