Grand Rapids, MI – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Thursday, impacting central and northern lower Michigan with freezing drizzle and fog creating hazardous conditions.
According to the National Weather Service, areas including Greenville, Big Rapids, Clare, and Mount Pleasant can expect a light glaze of ice on elevated surfaces. Slippery roads, sidewalks, and bridges, along with reduced visibility, are complicating the morning commute. The advisory also extends to portions of northern lower Michigan, including Crawford, Oscoda, and Roscommon counties.
Travelers are urged to slow down and use caution as conditions remain treacherous.
