Quad Cities, IL – Travelers in Illinois are urged to exercise caution this morning as dense fog blankets much of the region, including I-74 and other major roadways. Visibility is expected to drop to a quarter-mile or less, creating hazardous driving conditions.
According to the National Weather Service, a Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 11 a.m. Thursday. Motorists should allow extra time for travel, use low-beam headlights, and maintain plenty of braking distance. Morning commuters should also be wary of slick roads, as drizzle could accompany the fog.
