Green Bay, WI – Portions of Wisconsin are under a Winter Weather Advisory this morning, with freezing drizzle creating hazardous conditions across the state. A light glaze of ice is expected to accumulate on untreated surfaces, potentially causing slippery sidewalks, roads, and bridges.
According to the National Weather Service, areas impacted include central, east-central, north-central, and southeastern Wisconsin. The advisory will remain in effect until noon for most regions, although southeastern Wisconsin’s advisory is set to expire at 9 a.m. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute, with reports of slide-offs already observed in some areas.
Drivers and pedestrians are urged to exercise caution, reduce speed, and prepare for slick conditions. For updated road conditions, visit 511wi.gov.
