Glasgow, MT – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11 a.m. Wednesday for portions of northeastern Montana, including Daniels, Western Roosevelt, Dawson, and Wibaux counties. The advisory warns of blowing snow with wind gusts up to 45 mph, potentially disrupting the morning commute and posing risks of falling tree branches.
According to the National Weather Service, hazardous conditions extend into Richland and Eastern Roosevelt counties, affecting towns such as Culbertson, Fairview, and Sidney. Travelers are advised to slow down and exercise caution, with road conditions available via 511.
In North Dakota, advisories are in place until 6 p.m. for western and central counties, including McKenzie, Dunn, Mercer, and Stark. Winds reaching 55 mph and light snow accumulations are expected to create slippery roads and reduced visibility, particularly on major highways.
Additional Alerts in Montana – Western Montana, including East Glacier Park, West Glacier Region, and the Bitterroot Mountains, faces advisories starting Wednesday morning. Areas like Marias Pass and Highway 93 near Lolo Pass may see up to 10 inches of snow, severely affecting travel through Thursday.
Drivers are urged to prepare for delays and avoid travel in high-impact areas when possible.
