Kenosha, WI – A powerful winter storm is causing hazardous road conditions across Wisconsin. The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office has reported multiple crashes on Interstate 94, including a semi-truck accident blocking all northbound lanes at STH-165.

According to authorities, heavy snowfall continues to create low visibility and slippery roads, making travel extremely dangerous. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Warning until 3 a.m. Thursday, with total snowfall expected to reach 5 to 9 inches.

Emergency responders are working to clear the roads, but officials warn that conditions remain treacherous. Drivers are urged to stay home if possible and avoid unnecessary travel.

For those who must be on the roads, authorities recommend driving slowly, keeping extra distance between vehicles, and carrying an emergency kit with essentials like a flashlight, water, and warm clothing.

The storm is expected to ease by Thursday morning, but lingering snow and ice could still impact travel into the weekend. Officials continue to monitor conditions and advise residents to stay updated on weather alerts.
