Joliet, IL – Bridge repairs on westbound I-80 will cause lane closures this weekend in Joliet. The closures will affect lanes between Raynor Avenue and Houbolt Road starting Friday night at 10 p.m. At least one westbound lane will remain open at all times.
According to I-80 Will, all lanes are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, September 23. Drivers should plan for delays and consider using alternate routes. Local streets are unable to handle heavy or wide trucks, so rerouting to other interstates is encouraged.
The lane and ramp closures will continue for two more weekends, depending on weather conditions. These closures will take place from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday each weekend.
