Benton, LA — A 64-year-old Benton woman died in a single-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 157 on Monday. The Louisiana State Police responded to the crash around 12:30 p.m. The incident occurred two miles north of Highway 162.
According to the Louisiana State Police, the victim, Angela Page, was driving south when her vehicle left the roadway, overturned, and struck several trees. The crash caused fatal injuries, and Page was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities revealed that she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
While investigators do not suspect impairment, toxicology tests were collected and submitted for further analysis. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to determine the exact cause of the accident.
