Will County, IL – Deputies Respond to Gunfire in Lockport Township, No Injuries

Lockport, IL – Will County authorities are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday night in Lockport Township.

Deputies from the Will County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of gunfire around 10:30 p.m. in the area of Arthur Avenue and Rosalind Street. Upon arrival, deputies found around 20 spent handgun shell casings along Arthur Avenue. They later discovered that a residence in the 2100 block of Arthur Avenue had been struck by gunfire. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, though three people were inside the home at the time of the incident.

The Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the case and is seeking any leads to identify those responsible for the shooting. Authorities are encouraging anyone with information, including video surveillance footage, to contact the Will County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division at investigations@willcosheriff.org.
