Frankfort, IL – Get your ugliest holiday sweater ready for the Forest Preserve District of Will County’s BYOB Ugly Sweater Bingo Brunch and Take It Outside Hike on Sunday, Dec. 8. Both events promise festive fun and outdoor enjoyment for participants of all ages.
The Ugly Sweater Bingo Brunch takes place from 10 a.m. to noon at Hickory Creek Junction in Frankfort Township. Guests are encouraged to bring their own beer or wine and enjoy breakfast tacos from Ta Canijo while playing bingo. Prizes will be awarded for bingo winners as well as for the best-dressed, most festive, and crowd favorite sweaters. This event is free and open to participants aged 21 and older.
The day continues with the Take It Outside Hike at the Lake Renwick Heron Rookery Preserve in Plainfield from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The three-mile hike, part of the Take It Outside Challenge’s Fall Frolic, offers a chance for nature lovers to explore scenic trails while gathering points and connecting with other participants. Registration is open online until Dec. 7.
