The Village of Bradley is accepting applications for entry-level firefighter/paramedics to join the Bradley Fire Department, which serves a population of over 15,000 with a dedicated team of 12 full-time and 8 part-time sworn personnel. This recruitment drive offers immediate openings for qualified candidates eager to serve their community.
The starting salary for this position is $65,694.90, increasing to $82,243.62 after 12 years, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes pension, medical and dental coverage, and a 457 retirement plan.
Key Application Requirements
Eligible applicants must:
• Be U.S. citizens with a valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Be at least 20 years and 6 months old, and under 35 by the application deadline (January 10, 2025), with some exceptions.
• Hold an EMT-Paramedic license and Firefighter II/Basic Operations Firefighter Certification from Illinois state authorities.
• Possess a current CPAT and Ladder Climb certification or be prepared to complete the Bradley Fire Department’s physical exam if they pass the written test.
Applications and supporting documents must be submitted online by 4:00 p.m. CST on Friday, January 10, 2025. Candidates will also need to complete an online written exam from January 22–24, 2025.
