Crete Township, IL – The Forest Preserve District of Will County has a variety of outdoor programs available starting September 26.
The week begins with Seed Saving and Sips from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, at Plum Creek Nature Center. Participants will learn to harvest and save flower seeds for next year. Attendees should bring seeds to share. The $5 event includes snacks, and you may bring wine or beer.
On Friday, Sept. 27, head to Monee Reservoir for Breakfast with the Birds from 7-9 a.m. The free event offers a light breakfast while a naturalist teaches bird identification.
Saturday, Sept. 28, features two programs. Visit Isle a la Cache Museum from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. for Museum Campus Day, or join the Family Campout at Goodenow Grove Campground, which runs from 10 a.m. Saturday to noon on Sunday. The campout costs $5 per person and includes dinner and breakfast.
