The advisory covers Erie, Niagara, and several nearby counties, with peak snowfall continuing overnight before tapering off early Saturday. Untreated roads are expected to become slippery, and visibility may be limited.
The weekend forecast includes a high of 21°F Saturday with lingering snow showers, followed by mostly sunny skies Sunday. Temperatures will drop as low as 7°F Saturday night, marking the coldest air of the season. Monday and Tuesday will see snow showers return, with highs reaching the mid-30s.
Travelers are advised to reduce speeds and exercise caution on untreated roadways, particularly along I-90 and local highways. Residents should allow extra time for commutes and monitor updates from the NWS.
