Macomb, IL – Western Illinois University will hold a vaccination clinic for retirees and current employees on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event, hosted in the Union Heritage Room, is organized by the McDonough County Health Department. This clinic exclusively serves WIU retirees and active State of Illinois employees affiliated with the university.

According to university officials, students will not be eligible for this clinic, as a separate vaccination event will be scheduled for them later. The clinic will provide vaccinations as long as supplies last. Participants must present a valid WIU ID and a state-issued health insurance card.

The health department advises attendees to wear attire that allows easy access to the upper arm for vaccine administration. Participants can expect vaccinations to be provided by qualified health professionals throughout the day. For those unable to attend, the McDonough County Health Department offers appointments by phone.
