According to the National Weather Service (NWS), temperatures in the advisory area could soar, with heat indices exceeding 100 degrees. The intense heat could create dangerous conditions, particularly for those exposed to the sun or engaging in outdoor activities.
In addition to the extreme heat, NWS warns of strong thunderstorms expected Wednesday afternoon and evening. These storms could bring damaging winds and large hail across the region.
