Washington State – The aurora borealis, or northern lights, may be visible over Washington state Tuesday night. The National Weather Service in Spokane has issued an aurora forecast indicating the potential for aurora activity tonight into Tuesday morning, and again Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, cloud cover will likely “severely” limit viewing potential tonight. However, conditions are expected to improve Tuesday night, offering a better chance to witness the northern lights. For the latest updates, residents are advised to check the Space Weather Prediction Center.

Forecast for the Week:
Today, Spokane residents can expect a high of 81°F with cloudy skies. As the week progresses, temperatures will rise significantly. Wednesday will bring sunny skies with a high of 88°F. The heat intensifies Thursday with temperatures reaching 97°F under sunny conditions.

Friday is forecasted to be the hottest day, with temperatures soaring to 104°F. Saturday will see a slight drop in temperatures to 102°F with partly cloudy skies. Sunday will bring more sunshine and a high of 96°F.

Residents should prepare for the heat by staying hydrated and avoiding prolonged outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours. With the mix of high temperatures and potential aurora sightings, it promises to be an interesting week for Washington state.
