Raleigh, NC – North Carolina residents can expect a typical summer day with temperatures rising into the mid-80s to around 90 degrees. However, a broken line of showers and storms will cross over the mountains by early afternoon, bringing the risk of isolated strong winds and heavy downpours.

According to the US National Weather Service Raleigh NC, rain chances increase as the storms move east of the mountains. The day will feature moderate to heavy downpours and strong winds, posing potential challenges for outdoor activities and travel.

Today’s forecast predicts a high of 89 degrees, with a 55% chance of rain in the afternoon. The weather will remain mostly sunny in the morning before clouds build up, leading to showers and storms by early afternoon. Residents are advised to stay informed on weather updates and take precautions during the stormy periods.

Looking ahead, the heat will persist throughout the week. Wednesday and Thursday will see temperatures climbing to the low 90s, peaking at 93 and 94 degrees respectively. By Friday, the temperature will rise further to 95 degrees, remaining sunny. The weekend brings slight relief with highs in the low 90s and chances of rain, particularly on Saturday with a 35% chance and Sunday with a 40% chance.
