Wakefield, VA – Residents across central and eastern Virginia could see patchy frost overnight as clear skies and chilly temperatures settle in, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wakefield.

Forecasters say Tuesday will remain mostly sunny with seasonable highs near 60°F inland and mid-60s along the coast. Overnight lows are expected to drop into the 30s and low 40s, particularly west of the I-95 corridor, where frost formation is most likely.

A warming trend arrives Wednesday, with highs climbing into the upper 60s and low 70s. Breezy southwest winds are expected to increase by afternoon, with gusts between 25 and 35 mph, making for a much milder but windy day.

The NWS reports that cooler air will return by Thursday, bringing highs back into the 50s before another mild day Friday. No precipitation is forecast through the workweek, keeping conditions dry but variable as temperatures fluctuate.
