Dayton, OH – Local deputies and firefighters will swap their uniforms for aprons this Wednesday, November 5, as part of Montgomery County’s first “Serving for Santa” charity dinner event. The community fundraiser takes place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at George’s Family Restaurant, located at 5216 N. Dixie Drive in Dayton.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, 100% of proceeds and donations from the event will go directly to the Montgomery County Police Athletics and Activities League (P.A.A.L.) to sponsor local families during the holiday season.
The event, hosted in partnership with George’s Family Restaurant and the Harrison Township Fire Department, will see deputies and firefighters serving dinner to guests throughout the evening. A portion of restaurant sales will also support the cause, helping provide food and gifts for area families.
“This is a great opportunity for residents to connect with first responders and give back in a simple but meaningful way,” organizers said in a statement.
Community members are encouraged to attend, enjoy a meal, and help make the holidays brighter for those in need across Montgomery County.
