Springfield, VA – A 16-year-old girl was reported missing late Tuesday night in Springfield, prompting Virginia State Police to issue a CODI Alert early Wednesday.
According to the Fairfax County Police Department, Sophia Garza was last seen around 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 6000 block of Camilla Street. Authorities say she was wearing a blue and white tie-dyed shirt, black pants, and no shoes at the time of her disappearance.
The CODI Alert was issued at 3:50 a.m. Wednesday on behalf of Fairfax County Police, who state Garza’s disappearance poses a credible threat to her health and safety. She is described as a white female with red hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 110 pounds.
The police are urging anyone who may have seen Garza or has information about her whereabouts to contact the Fairfax County Police Department immediately at (703) 691-2131 or visit https://vsp.virginia.gov/active-alerts.
Anyone who encounters Garza is asked to call 911 immediately.
