Vacant Moline Home Engulfed in Flames, No Injuries Reported

Moline, IL – A fire broke out at a vacant home on 1228 11th Avenue late Sunday night. The Moline Fire Department responded at 9:44 p.m. and found the rear portion of the house engulfed in flames.

Firefighters arrived within four minutes and quickly began defensive measures to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby homes. According to the Moline Fire Department, the fire was brought under control in just under an hour. Crews then performed overhaul operations, ensuring all remaining fire hazards were addressed and checking for any potential extensions of the fire.

No injuries were reported in the incident. The fire response included 17 on-duty personnel across three engine companies, one aerial unit, a command vehicle, and two ambulances. Additional support came from the East Moline and Rock Island Fire Departments.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
