Salt Lake City, Utah – Blistering summer heat is back in Salt Lake City this week, with Monday highs climbing to 91°F and even hotter days ahead.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures across northern Utah will spike to 93°F on both Tuesday and Wednesday, with dry air and light winds offering little relief. Salt Lake City residents are urged to limit outdoor activities between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., when heat exposure risk is highest. Keep water on hand and wear light, breathable clothing.

While no heat advisory is in effect yet, residents along the I-15 corridor should expect prolonged exposure risks as the week continues. Monday night will offer minimal cooling, with lows staying around 64°F. Winds from the northwest will remain light, making overnight recovery difficult for those without air conditioning.

On Tuesday, the mercury will again reach 93°F under sunny skies. That heat lingers through midweek, potentially creating heat-related stress for vulnerable groups like seniors, children, and outdoor workers.

Wednesday’s forecast brings more of the same — mostly sunny skies, 93°F highs, and limited cloud cover through the afternoon. Light wind offers little airflow for urban neighborhoods, increasing indoor heat retention.

By Thursday and Friday, Salt Lake City should see slight relief, with highs easing back to 91°F. Still, these numbers remain well above average for early June.

🌤 Five-Day Forecast for Salt Lake City (June 8–13):

  • Sunday: Sunny, high 89°F
  • Monday: Sunny, high 91°F
  • Tuesday: Sunny, high 93°F
  • Wednesday: Mostly sunny, high 93°F
  • Thursday: Sunny, high 91°F
  • Friday: Sunny, high 92°F

Stay cool and monitor local updates — summer heat is settling in for the long haul.
