Las Vegas, Nevada – A blistering stretch of triple-digit temperatures will intensify across southern Nevada starting Monday, with the most dangerous heat arriving by Tuesday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, an Extreme Heat Watch is in effect from Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening across Clark County, including the Las Vegas Valley, Mesquite, Pahrump, and areas near Lake Mead. Temperatures are expected to reach 108°F in Las Vegas, with some regions climbing as high as 115°F. Officials warn that heat-related illnesses spike during these events, especially for outdoor workers, the elderly, and children.

I-15 commuters should expect vehicle overheating risks and longer emergency response times. Drivers are urged to avoid non-essential travel during peak heat hours from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday.

On Monday, highs will already near 107°F, with light winds offering little relief. Tuesday will be the most dangerous day, though the heat lingers through midweek. Nighttime lows stay above 80°F, offering minimal overnight cooling — a setup that raises health concerns for those without access to air conditioning.

Tips: Stay indoors, drink water frequently, and check on vulnerable neighbors. Never leave children or pets in parked cars, where cabin temperatures can become deadly within minutes.
