Urgent Search: 61-Year-Old Endangered Woman Missing in Plainfield, Illinois – Have You Seen Her?

Update: Cook County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday Hurd had been found safe.  Details behind the incident were not disclosed.


Chicago, IL – The Illinois State Police have issued an urgent Endangered Missing Person Advisory at the behest of the Cook County Sheriff’s Police, seeking public aid in the search for Regina Hurd, a 61-year-old white female. 

Standing at 5 feet 7 inches and weighing 145 pounds, Regina has blonde hair, blue eyes, and was last seen wearing a cream-colored parka, light blue top, blue jeans, and brown loafers. She was driving a grey/black 2015 Honda Civic, with the Illinois license plate Z428778. 

The vehicle was last spotted on Route 59 at Marathon in Plainfield, Illinois, at 11:06 PM. Regina is reported to have a condition that places her at significant risk. 

Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Cook County Sheriff’s Police at 708-865-4896 or dial 9-1-1 immediately.
