Minneapolis, Minnesota – Chilly air will settle across Minnesota tonight as drizzle clears and temperatures fall into the upper 30s and low 40s across much of the state.

According to the National Weather Service Twin Cities, skies will begin to clear after sundown Wednesday, with overnight lows dipping to 37°F in St. Cloud, 39°F in Fergus Falls, and 42°F in the Twin Cities metro. The chill will be most noticeable in northern counties, where spots like Bemidji and International Falls could see temperatures near freezing.

Conditions will dry out Thursday with highs rebounding into the low to mid-60s. Cloud cover returns Friday, but weekend skies look mostly sunny with just a slight chance of isolated showers on Sunday and Memorial Day. Cities like Rochester, Red Wing, and Mankato are expected to reach highs in the upper 60s by Monday.

Residents should layer up overnight and use caution if driving early Thursday morning, especially in rural areas where temperatures may hover near freezing.

While no weather alerts are active, the NWS notes a slight chance for rain Sunday and Monday. Expect more updates ahead of the holiday.
