Nashville, TN – Three tornadoes swept across Middle Tennessee on Tuesday, including an EF-1 storm in Cumberland County and two EF-0 touchdowns in Clarksville, according to preliminary damage surveys.

According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, the strongest tornado hit southern Cumberland County between 7:29 and 7:37 p.m., with peak winds reaching 105 mph. The EF-1 tornado carved a 4.97-mile path near New Era and Big Lick, with a maximum width of 150 yards. Earlier in the evening, North Clarksville experienced a 9.41-mile EF-0 tornado with 75 mph winds, followed by a second EF-0 just minutes later in South Clarksville, reaching 85 mph.

No injuries or fatalities were reported in any of the three tornadoes. Damage was limited, but residents reported downed trees, minor roof damage, and scattered debris along the tracks.

Officials urge residents to remain weather-aware this week as spring storm activity continues. Prepare emergency kits, secure loose outdoor items, and have multiple ways to receive warnings.

Additional survey updates may follow as NWS teams complete their investigations. Tornado warnings remain possible with ongoing storm chances across central Tennessee.
