Nashville, TN – A second teenager has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of Nashville restaurant owner Hwarang Joo last month.

Police arrested Emilio Leyva-Hernandez, 17, Thursday afternoon on Hamilton Church Road. Emilio and his twin brother, Marcos, also 17, are accused of fatally shooting Joo in the parking lot of a Bell Road shopping complex on November 24. Marcos was previously arrested on Thanksgiving night.

According to police, Joo had just closed his restaurant, Hot Stuff Chicken, and was leaving in his Volkswagen SUV when gunfire erupted. Investigators allege the twins used an AR-style rifle to shoot at the occupants of a nearby Dodge Charger. Joo, an uninvolved bystander, was struck in the head. His SUV crashed into a nearby dental office.

Both teens are currently held in juvenile detention. Authorities have not disclosed a motive but believe the shooting stemmed from a dispute between the Charger’s occupants and the twins.
