The storm may bring up to six inches of rain, with some areas seeing even higher totals. Flash flooding is highly likely if rain falls rapidly in a short timeframe, particularly from Wednesday evening into Thursday morning.
Wind gusts between 45 and 75 mph are predicted, with the strongest impact expected by Wednesday night. Power outages and downed trees could affect large areas, especially in southwestern Mississippi. Rain bands from Francine also pose a tornado threat, with possible tornadoes Wednesday afternoon through Thursday.
