Corpus Christi, TX – The U.S. National Weather Service in Corpus Christi is closely monitoring a tropical disturbance currently situated in the eastern Caribbean. Meteorologists report that conditions appear generally favorable for the system’s slow development over the next week as it moves westward at approximately 20 mph over the Caribbean Sea.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a low, 30% chance of the disturbance developing into a more significant weather system within the next seven days as it approaches the southwestern Gulf of Mexico. It remains too early to determine what impacts, if any, might occur along the mid-Texas coast.

Residents and visitors along the Texas coast are advised to stay informed by regularly checking weather updates and forecasts. The National Weather Service emphasizes the importance of monitoring the system’s progress and being prepared for any changes in its trajectory or intensity.
