Germantown, WI – A high-speed police pursuit in Germantown ended tragically Friday with a fatal vehicle crash near the intersection of Donges Bay Road and Division Road. The Germantown Fire Department responded after a call from the dispatch center indicated multiple individuals were trapped in a vehicle engulfed in flames.
According to Incident Commander Battalion Chief Ryker Holms, Germantown Police Officers found three people trapped in the severely damaged vehicle. Two individuals suffered life-threatening injuries, while a third sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The fire had been extinguished upon arrival, allowing fire crews to begin Advanced Life Support (ALS) care and the extrication of the trapped passengers.
While one patient was successfully removed, they succumbed to their injuries before being transported by helicopter. The remaining two patients were airlifted to a nearby hospital. Their current conditions remain undisclosed.
The Wisconsin State Patrol and Washington County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the crash. Division Road was closed for over two hours as emergency crews worked on the scene, which lasted approximately four hours.
